New Directions – New Magazine to Replace Network

Dear Reader:

TIA has been evaluating our news service to our readership, and we have determined it is time for a change.

Here’s the news: In conjunction with TIA’s newly announced market intelligence initiative – the ICT2020 reports – we plan to launch a new e-magazine, to be published on our Web site, tiaonline.org, every two months.

The ICT2020 reports will fast-forward to the year 2020, with predictions and challenges we face as an industry. We’ll focus on the state of the ICT industry, products, services, applications and best industry practices. In addition, TIA will continue to provide needed information on everything we’re doing, from policy and standards, to the tradeshow, our green ICT initiatives, what we’re doing to help small businesses with their specific challenges, and much more. It is an ambitious journey, and we’re inviting you, the ICT industry leaders, to join us.

The new TIA e-magazine will include in-depth interviews with industry leaders, gathering their predictions – and capturing their imagination and foresight – for the industry in the year 2020. We want to spark a rich discussion on innovation that will allow continued growth for the industry, as well as a discussion of the challenges we will face reaching our goals.

While we apply our resources to developing the ICT2020 reports and the new e-magazine, we are discontinuing the weekly Network.

We will continue to provide the same valuable content that appeared in the Network via our Web site and custom RSS feeds through which subscribers can receive free e-mail alerts on key TIA news and events.

Additionally, we want your feedback. Please send your comments and suggestions on content and delivery as we continuously expand and improve our Web services to add value to the TIA membership.

Thank you,

Grant Seiffert
TIA President
