As a B2B information technology company in the telecommunications industry, our technical team is Atvent Solutions’ primary asset and has played a direct role in our product development and operations since our early days. Like the company’s founders, the background of our people is a blend of network operations, engineering and project management. This unique talent mix enables us to understand our clients’ needs better and transpose this knowledge into a leading-edge OSS service that generates real savings.
Please tell us about your product MobileNet 2.0 and why it is a leading OSS services for network maintenance.
The main objective of our MobileNet OSS is to provide field technicians and managers quick access to an integrated information platform related to service, maintenance and construction operations at any time and anywhere. MobileNet includes an extensive suite of software modules such as map viewer, redlining tools, address locator, CPE diagnostic, network elements’ historical maintenance, material ordering, quality assurance, facility maintenance and so on. These components are then tied to specific business processes involving engineering, NOC and customer service, greatly enhancing information flow among these operating units and reducing the silo effect within the organization.
MobileNet OSS was first introduced at Vidéotron in 2002 and then at Rogers in 2005. The acceptance among the users community has been an immediate success and the feedback received has driven our continuous improvement approach to new heights, consolidating MobileNet technological lead and credibility in the telecommunication industry.
