The TR-45: Mobile and Personal Communications Systems Standards Committee leadership and plenary meetings were held late last month on the island of Kauai, in Hawaii. TIA gave status reports and recaps on 2007 TR-45 documents, including detailing the project numbers given, ballots opened and documents published.   Attendees also got an update on the current backlog of TR-45 documents, including a briefing on what is needed from committee members to resolve the situation. In question and answer sessions at the meetings, TIA staff also explained new document policies, such as the protocol for accessing yet-unpublished documents.

The second week of meetings was dedicated mostly to subcommittee issues and 3GPP2 meetings.
