Grant Seiffert to Participate in WEF 2007 this November

This November, Tel Aviv, Israel will host the 13th annual World Electronics Forum (WEF), a congress of global electronics association leaders.  TIA President Grant Seiffert will join his colleagues from around the world to achieve WEF's stated goal of discussing "major topics of common interests to the various associations," and using the opportunity to "exchange information on services and recent data within the electronics industries worldwide... [and] strengthen relations between associations for the benefit of our industries."

This year's WEF agenda includes the election of a new Secretariat, the last WEF meeting, reports on green manufacturing and waste management, international standards and technical regulations, venture capital in our industries, and a tour of key Israeli electronics hotbeds around the country.

Stop By the TIA Booth at the BICSI Fall Conference this Month

At this year's BICSI Fall Conference, you'll notice senior TIA staff present at our booth, proudly highlighting our TR-42 Engineering Committee and the work it does with BICSI that benefits so many of our members.

TIA’s Engineering Committee TR-42 develops and maintains voluntary standards for telecommunications cabling infrastructure in user-owned buildings such as commercial buildings, residential buildings, homes, data centers and industrial buildings. TR-42 works with BICSI  as it is the biggest driving force in the design and installation of code and standards-based telecommunications systems.

BICSI's Fall Conference 2007 is September 10-13 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. TIA will hold a drawing for a free copy of its 2007 Market Review & Forecast and will be present to educate all conference attendees on TR-42 standards and the benefits of TIA membership.

For questions regarding TR-42, please contact Stephanie Montgomery at 703.907.7735 or smontgomery@tiaonline.org.
