NXTcomm08, InfoComm08 Announce Co-Location Press Conference

To kick off the co-location and collaboration between NXTcomm08 and InfoComm08 this June in Las Vegas, the two tradeshows will host a press conference event on Thursday, February 28, 2008, at Time Warner Center in New York City.

At the press conference, representatives from NXTcomm, the one event delivering the ecosystem of network-enabled voice, video and data, and InfoComm International, the trade association managing the Top 50 tradeshow serving the audiovisual and information communications industries, will discuss the converged state of the IT and AV industries. The location, the Time Inc. Auditorium, provides a prime example of that convergence. Both groups will also discuss the shows’ co-location in June at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

InfoComm will occupy the North and Central Halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center from June 14-20; NXTcomm takes over the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center from June 16-19. By co-locating, InfoComm and NXTcomm can give attendees the opportunity to attend two tradeshows for the price of one. InfoComm and NXTcomm attendees can tour both show floors, engage in valuable training, hear from leading keynotes, and see the latest advances in AV and IT communications technologies, products and services. With a projected combined attendance of 50,000 professionals from 100 countries and more than 1,350 exhibitors occupying over 750,000 square feet of exhibit and special-event space in 2008, the co-location of InfoComm08 and NXTcomm will provide an opportunity for the professional audiovisual, IT, communications and entertainment technologies to converge in an unparalleled exposition experience. TIA Engaging Tradeshow Community for Members

This week, TIA leadership will be present at several prominent trade shows across the globe as part of its aggressive new campaign to reach out to industry members, including a strong presence at regional events and visits to trade shows of all sizes. Look for TIA officials at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, February 11-14, and the National Telecommunications Cooperative Association (NTCA) Convention in New Orleans, February 12-13..

According to its organizers, this year's Mobile World Congress "brings together the eminent leaders and personalities from mobile operators and equipment vendors, as well as those from the Internet and the world of entertainment. [It] provides a one-stop-shop for everyone looking to understand what will drive the success of the mobile industry over the next year."

NTCA's expo, gave "members and staff a chance to discuss key industry issues and help plot a course for the association's future activities."  NTCA, which represents small and rural telephone cooperatives and commercial companies, allows vendors a unique opportunity to interface with the many small businesses that make up this country's rural communications network.

TIA is represented at both conventions, working to dialogue with members and other key industry players about emerging business and informational opportunities.

Look for even more TIA tradeshow presence in the future, as the association works to engage not only its members, but members' potential business partners, in new and exciting ways.
