Strigl, Hesse Announced as NXTcomm Keynote Speakers

StriglVerizonVerizon President and Chief Operating Officer Denny Strigl and Sprint Nextel President and Chief Executive Officer Daniel Hesse will address NXTcomm08 in keynotes slated for Wednesday, June 18, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the communications industry exhibition and conference entity announced today. NXTcomm, the one event delivering the ecosystem of network-enabled voice, video and data, comes to the Las Vegas Convention Center June 16-19 and will co-locate with InfoComm08, the leading audiovisual business-to-business marketplace. International Auto Workshop to Promote 'Fully Networked Car'

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU), International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) will host a major event focusing on information and communications technologies (ICT) in motor vehicles. This event, The Fully Networked Car Workshop 2008, will be held March 5-7, 2008, during the 78th Geneva International Motor Show in Palexpo, Geneva.

TIA Active at NTCA

Look for TIA staff and active presence at this year's National Telecommunications Cooperative Association (NTCA) annual meeting and expo, February 10-13, in New Orleans, La. 

Some of the programming scheduled for the meeting includes general sessions featuring invited guests Sen. Mary Landrieu (D–La.) and Meredith Attwell Baker of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA); telecom futurist Lowell Catlett, Ph.D.; and FCC Commissioner Jonathan Adelstein; as well as expert panel discussions on disaster planning and the future of video entertainment.
