TIA welcomes one of its newest members, Atlantic Tower Services!

ATSLogoAtlantic Tower Services (ATS) was founded to support the infrastructure and build out requirements of various wireless communication carriers. We have since evolved into much more: With complete in-house divisions, we are well qualified and able to assist customers from any industry that require expert tower, HVAC, electrical, construction, or emergency generator services. Though the word “tower” is in our name, ATS is capable and ready to serve, no matter what industry our customers come from.

BenjaminEkeyBenjamin Ekey serves as the Director of Operations of ATS’ Tower Division. Starting out as a tower climber in 1997, Mr. Ekey rapidly progressed to the position of Crew Leader. During his 6½ years in that capacity, he was responsible for the field coordination of numerous crews of varying size throughout the Southeastern United States. His telecom construction experience ranges from raw land new builds to installing DAS systems in NASCAR® tracks. During his time in the field, Mr. Ekey has worked on various-sized communication structures from 40-foot COWs (Cell-On-Wheels) up to 600-foot permanent towers.

Since leaving the field 3½ years ago to become ATS’ Operations Manager, Mr. Ekey has helped grow the Tower Division from a single central office in Orlando, Fla., to include regional offices in Georgia and Texas. He has been responsible for securing new business and overseeing individual projects that have topped $1.5 million in revenue. Currently, ATS performs services and oversees projects for several different national and regional carriers and third party tower owners, including Sprint Nextel, T-Mobile, American Tower, Crown Castle, AT&T, Clearwire, Metro-PCS, and SBA to name a few. Mr. Ekey plans on continuing to broaden ATS’ customer base and to enhance the company’s footprint throughout the Southeast.
