| Visit TIA at the CTIA Wireless 2008 Conference in Las Vegas, April 1-3 |
TIA will be in Booth# 137 at this year’s CTIA Wireless 2008 conference showcasing our presence in the wireless industry. We’ll highlight the standards work we do, in which TIA, as an ANSI-accredited (American National Standards Institute) organization, has published more than 3,000 wireless standards. We’ll discuss the policies that affect the vendor community, which we are the forefront in advocating. These include the 700MHz Auction, Commercial Mobile Alerts System (CMAS) and Hearing Aid Compatibility (HAC) issues. We’ll also present the various convergence certification programs that can help you in your career. We’ll talk about the U.S. wireless market, which totaled $208.4 billion in 2007, up 10 percent from 2006* and how you can position your company to take advantage of these trends.
Stop by Booth #137 and find out how you can become more involved in TIA’s work. You can participate in one of our wireless engineering committees (TR-8 Mobile and Personal Private Radio Standards, TR-14 Point-to-Point Communications Systems or TR-45 Mobile and Personal Communications Systems Standards), become more active on the policies that affect your business and be informed of the latest market research information in the TIA 2008 Telecommunications Market Review and Forecast. Talk with a representative from our convergence certification program about how you can become a knowledge expert and build applicable skills in this converged industry.
CTIA Wireless 2008 is April 1-3 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. TIA will hold a drawing for a free IPod plus a copy of TIA 2008 Telecommunications Market Review and Forecast (a $1,295 value) and will be present to discuss the wireless work we do that affects you and your business and the other benefits of joining the association.
